Turning Another Page

You know that super satisfying sound that happens when you’re holding a huge book and you slam it shut? It echoes through the air and exemplifies the success of completing whatever it was you were learning from that thing. For us, that moment is this December. We’ve spent all of 2020 preparing the ground for young missionaries from all over the earth to be empowered to see people in Niagara encounter Christ. As 2020 comes to a close, so does this season of laying YWAM Niagara’s ministry foundations. To keep the book metaphor going, 2020 has been a real page-turner! But for us, there’s also been long tough sections that we’re glad to be graduating from. But wait, the story isn’t over yet! 2021 brings us to a whole new chapter of exciting ministry that we can’t wait to begin!

What Was

What did YWAM Niagara look like this time last year? In December 2019 we were moving back to Niagara with a vision burning in our hearts to see people encounter Christ and young people empowered to live their calling. We had no team, no place, no platform, no ministry… What we did have though was our vision, our calling to fulfill it from God, and you amazing supporters and ministry leaders willing to walk us through! Despite the wild world around us, God began to powerfully bring together what YWAM Niagara is today.

What is Now!

We could not be where we are today without you! Because of your investment of time, prayers, finances, wisdom, faith, and so much more, God has prepared YWAM Niagara to be ready to receive young people from anywhere who have a desire to know God and make Him known everywhere. This is an incredibly exciting milestone!! Our 1st missions program, Trailblazers Discipleship Training School (DTS), launches March 2021 with 8 applicants so far! We’ve become energized to see God’s faithfulness and the efforts of 2020 coming into fruition as we look ahead to 2021.
