4 Years of Marriage & Missions
Today is our 4th wedding anniversary!! As we sift through photos and memories it is crazy just how fast these years have flown by, and yet we simply can’t remember living life without one another!
Our wedding anniversary is also our anniversary of becoming full-time missionaries. The week before our wedding we quit our jobs and took a leap of faith together!
Since then, God has led us to the South Pacific (Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia), Asia (Mongolia), and North America (Canada & US)! We have also sent teams to the Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Philippines, Tanzania, and Brazil!
Just this Spring, we were able to go on a month-long outreach in the USA surrounding a Christian stadium gathering known as The Send. During the week leading up to the event, teams from across North America came to Kansas City to worship Jesus, engage in 24/7 prayer, serve the city and share the Gospel! 4773 Bibles were distributed, 6726 hours of practical service was donated, and best of all, 504 people gave their life to Jesus! On the day of The Send, 17,406 people committed to a mission field (the nations, universities, high school, local community, or vulnerable children), 3,283 committed to going to the nations, and out of all the opportunities, one person felt specifically called to come to YWAM Niagara! God is so good!!
As we’ve prayed into this next year of missions & marriage, we’ve felt God inviting us to go all in long-term. When we first entered missions, we anticipated serving for 2-3 years and have just continued to extend that as God has brought new assignments into our lives. Since pioneering YWAM Niagara in 2020, we have realized that God has called us to be career missionaries!
So as we reflect on the last 4 years of missions, we also want to prepare for the next 40! With that, we are excited to announce that we will be launching a new campaign to get us to full financial support. This will empower us to run long-term as we build our lives and ministry on the word of the Lord.
“The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
Jeremiah 31:3
We are so thankful for the prayer, time, and financial investments of our supporters into our ministry. God has used his people to fulfill his plans and purpose in our lives, and in the lives of those we minister to!
